Jeanne Scarola, DVM, Medical Director
Dr. Scarola has over 19 years of veterinary experience. She graduated from Tufts University (Cummings) School of Veterinary Medicine in 1995. Following graduation, she completed a small animal internship in CT. After some years in emergency medicine in specialty hospital settings, she moved to Hawaii. Private practice in a small animal hospital on the Big Island was a great experience for over 5 years. She now resides back in PA with her husband, two daughters and one dog, "Trapper". Dr. Scarola has a strong interest in cardiology. Outside of work, she likes to visit the Jersey shore with her family. Jeanne also enjoys running, baking, fishing and hiking.
Ashley Fusselman, DVM
Dr. Fusselman earned her B.S. in Animal Biotechnology and Conservation with a focus on Small Animal Science and a minor in Psychology from Delaware Valley College (University). She then earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Iowa State University. She has since returned to the state she loves as well as to her family and friends. Beginning at a very young age, Dr. Fusselman always wanted to be a veterinarian and began working in the field when she was in High School. She joined the ABE Family in July 2011. Dr. Fusselman has a passion for felines, Bulldog breeds and focusing on medicine. In her free time, she enjoys cooking and baking (both human and pet goodies), as well as spending time with family and friends. She also enjoys spending time with her feline "kids" Maggie and Max and her rescued French Bulldog named Maizy.
Ashley Brown, Practice Manager
Ashley’s experience in the veterinary field began about 8 years ago at a small animal hospital in New Jersey. It was then that Ashley discovered her passion for the healthcare and well-being of animals. Along with her strong love for animals, Ashley also found her passion in customer service and continues to guide the team towards achieving the best quality of patient and client care. Outside of work, Ashley is heavily involved in church and enjoys spending her free time outdoors. Ashley and her two daughters, Kaylee and Alexa, share a home together in New Jersey.
Jessica, CVT, Lead Technician
Jessica is a Certified Veterinary Technician with an Associates degree in Applied Science. She has been providing nursing care at ABE since 2003. Jessica enjoys spending quality time in the outdoors with her husband and 3 children. Fur babies in this family include Violet the Rottweiler and Foxie the Pomeranian mix, as well as 4 mischievous felines: Khia, George, Jinx and Benjiman
Donna, CVT, Lead Surgical Technician
Donna graduated from Harcum Junior College with a degree in Animal Technology and has worked at ABE since 1984. Donna always knew she wanted a career involving animals and never had second thoughts about pursuing Veterinary Technology. Donna is our Lead Surgical Technician and provides each of her patients with personalized love and attention along with exceptional medical care. She spends her life away from work with her husband, Jim, and 2 miniature schnauzers, Charlie and Klaus. She enjoys traveling, playing golf and is a die-hard Philadelphia Eagles fan
Chaz received her Diploma in Animal Science from Correspondence School International and has worked in the veterinary field since 1993. Chaz has chosen this profession to give a voice to the voiceless and is especially fond of feline patients. We often call her the “cat whisperer”. At home, she is owned by 2 Pomeranians, 1 Chihuahua, and 7 cats. Chaz is happily married and they share a passion for Camaros together.
Wendy began her journey in the veterinary industry over 15 years ago. To date, Wendy has worked in emergency facilities and private practices, embracing her passion to “talk to animals” which was inspired by educating herself through inter-species communication courses. Wendy spends most of her free time with family, raising 3 boys and a girl with her husband, Shawn. Peebs, Wink, Munch, and Man are Wendy’s four feline kids that have settled their way into her heart and home in Northampton, PA.
Lori went to the Stratford Career institute to be a Veterinary Assistant and has been in the small animal and emergency field since 2007. Lori is our jack of all trades and her ability to multi-task is unparalleled. Lori has 1 Siberian Husky, 2 Shepherd mixes, and many feline friends. Lori lives at home with her 4 children and long-time partner and friend, James. In her spare time, Lori enjoys going horseback riding, fishing, reading, and watching movies. Lori’s passion is to educate the public on proper wellness care and the risks we should watch out for in our animal family.
Megan is our very dedicated and newest addition to the ABE team. Before Megan began working here, a veterinary career was already in her future plans and she became enrolled in the Penn Foster Veterinary Technician program. Megan loves having the opportunity to work directly with animals which conveniently assists in the development of her future career. Outside of work, Megan loves to paint and also enjoys volunteering whenever she can. She is also an amazing baker/cook and loves to bring in special homemade treats and meals for her fellow coworkers to enjoy! Megan lives happily at home with her two cats, Kitty and Kat.

Tonya, CSR, Social Media Correspondent & Community Events Coordinator
Tonya has been caring for animals in the veterinary industry for over 15 years and has been involved in everything from small animal medicine to orthopedics, acupuncture, behavioral health, and emergency care. Tonya’s passion for animals developed when she began rescuing animals as a young girl. Her uncle was a Veterinarian who inspired Tonya to spend her life nursing sick animals back to health. Some of Tonya’s hobbies include: enjoying music at live concerts, finding homes for strays, and spending quality time with family and friends. There are three special cats named Gato, Pigeon, and Hiccup that have claimed Tonya has their own and continue to bring joy to her life every day.
