Ashley Fusselman, DVM, Medical Director
Dr. Fusselman earned her B.S. in Animal Biotechnology and Conservation with a focus on Small Animal Science and a minor in Psychology from Delaware Valley College (University). She then earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Iowa State University. She has since returned to the state she loves as well as to her family and friends. Beginning at a very young age, Dr. Fusselman always wanted to be a veterinarian and began working in the field when she was in High School. She joined the ABE Family in July 2011. Dr. Fusselman has a passion for felines, Bulldog breeds and focusing on medicine and dentistry. In her free time, she enjoys cooking and baking (both human and pet goodies), as well as spending time with family and friends. She also enjoys spending time with her feline "kids" Maggie and Max and her recent addition of kittens, Sherman and Sidney. She recently lost her rescued French Bulldog named Maizy and is in the search for new brachycephalic addition.
Joanna Pinola, DVM

Ashley’s experience in the veterinary field began about 11 years ago at a small animal hospital in New Jersey. It was then that Ashley discovered her passion for the healthcare and well-being of animals. Along with her strong love for animals, Ashley also found her passion in customer service and continues to guide the team towards achieving the best quality of patient and client care. Outside of work, Ashley is actively involved in church and and enjoys spending her free time outdoors. Ashley, her husband, and their three children share a home together in New Jersey.
Donna, CVT, Lead Surgical Technician
Donna graduated from Harcum Junior College with a degree in Animal Technology and has worked at ABE since 1984. Donna always knew she wanted a career involving animals and never had second thoughts about pursuing Veterinary Technology. Donna is our Lead Surgical Technician and provides each of her patients with personalized love and attention along with exceptional medical care. She spends her life away from work with her husband, Jim, and 2 miniature schnauzers, Charlie and Klaus. She enjoys traveling, playing golf and is a die-hard Philadelphia Eagles fan
Chaz, Veterinary Assistant
Chaz received her Diploma in Animal Science from Correspondence School International and has worked in the veterinary field since 1993. Chaz has chosen this profession to give a voice to the voiceless and is especially fond of feline patients. We often call her the “cat whisperer”. At home, she is owned by 2 Pomeranians, 1 Chihuahua, and 7 cats. Chaz is happily married and they share a passion for Camaros together.
Wendy, Veterinary Assistant
Wendy began her journey in the veterinary industry over 15 years ago. To date, Wendy has worked in emergency facilities and private practices, embracing her passion to “talk to animals” which was inspired by educating herself through inter-species communication courses. Wendy spends most of her free time with family, raising 3 boys and a girl with her husband, Shawn. Peebs, Wink, Munch, and Man are Wendy’s four feline kids that have settled their way into her heart and home in Northampton, PA.

Tonya, Lead Client Service Representative
Tonya has been caring for animals in the veterinary industry for over 24 years and has been involved in everything from small animal medicine to orthopedics, acupuncture, behavioral health, and emergency care. Tonya’s passion for animals developed when she began rescuing animals as a young girl. Her uncle was a Veterinarian who inspired Tonya to spend her life nursing sick animals back to health. Some of Tonya’s hobbies include: enjoying music at live concerts, finding homes for strays, and spending quality time with family and friends. There are three special cats named Gato, Pigeon, and Hiccup that have claimed Tonya has their own and continue to bring joy to her life every day.
